For the past several years, my family and I have taken one weekend in December and spent it at the lake. It sounds far more glamorous than it is. We have a nice, little hotel about 5 minutes down the road from my house and it gives us a "weekend away", even though it's not really away. We've adopted a tradition where, each year, all the girls get a new bead for our Troll bracelets. The beads are often representative of something that we've done together or a hobby that we have.
